about
paper
These are ‘ideological artifacts’ that have been created out of love, care and respect for paper and for the natural environment.
The paper used is solely that which had fulfilled at least one life cycle as a certain product. This basic idea of employing used materials applies also to components added to the works — threads, beads, fabric and the like.
The basic ingredients of all items are nothing but paper and water, the latter evaporizes in the desert sun. No bonding agent is added at any stage of processing an item; joining parts is done by way of applying the raw material. Only when unavoidable, white glue is used to attach details or additions.
To seal an item against wetness and disintegration, water-based varnish is applied to the surface. No materials made from crude oil derivatives are used in any case.
The colors are inherently those of the paper items used: no color is added, either during the process of creating a new artifact, or by way of painting its outer surface when completed.
iron
The iron furniture and items were forged by blacksmithing through hammering, bending, welding, cutting and plasma cutting and were designated to be used routinely.
